If the garden table always stays in the same place, you don't have to worry about the weight. If it is often cleared away, enlarged or reduced, the weight already plays a role. The weight is determined not only by the size of the garden table, but also by its material. Plastic tables and aluminum frames are quite light, teak tables are much heavier and the heaviest are the tables with thick glass plates and a stainless steel frame.
No matter which material you choose, the garden table should be weatherproof. Wooden garden tables are protected by special wood preservatives, but you should maintain them regularly and renew the protection. This is not absolutely necessary for teak only. It develops a gray patina over time, which is highly valued by many. No special protection is required for glass or plastic. Nevertheless, it cannot hurt to cover the garden table in autumn and winter with a suitable tarpaulin if it does not go to the winter quarters.
Garden tables need a firm footing. Not every garden floor is a plan. So it can happen that your garden table wobbles. Most tubular steel frames offer a level control in the base. So the table can be adjusted well and stands securely. You can find level regulations at Ribelli garden table from our comparison, as well as at greemotion, Camp Active and the Best garden extending table from our comparison table.
